Guided game walks and bird watching
Experience the ecological splendours and tranquillity of Tillietudlem on foot. The extensive reserve includes a diverse combination of mountain grassland, indigenous forest and wetlands which provide habitat for a prodigious variety of game animal and bird species. Guided game walks, bird watching and flora walks with our ranger are a great way to learn more about the flora and fauna of the area. Alternatively self-guided trials are provided for those keen to explore this African jewel of nature. The reserve has large herds and family groups of Eland, Wilderbeast, Zebra, Waterbuck, Blesbock, Oribi, Reed Buck, Mountain Reedbuck, Vaal Reibok, Bushbuck and Duiker. You may catch a glimpse of one of the many Otters that frequent our rivers or a mountain leopard. Many rare and endangered bird species such as: Cranes, Blue Swallows and Cape Parrots can be seen plus a large variety of Eagles, Buzzards, Vultures and other raptors.
